I graduated with McClenney from boot camp in s.c. He was a good friend, and Marine brother of mine. We both were assigned to 3/6 and went to Afghanistan together. I dont go a day without thinking about the good times we had in the Marines. God bless u and ur family. I will see u soon brother!

Please know that your sacrifice will not be forgotten. On Saturday May 23 I was honored to read the names of Tennessee's fallen in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars at a ceremony in Washington DC at the WWII Memorial. PFC Daniel McClenney is remembered.

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

Daniel ... it's been almost 5 years. There isn't a day that has gone by that you are not thought of by your family. You've been joined by many of your family since then ... your Aunt Judy, your cousin John, your Uncle David, your great grandmother Ruth .... I know that you joined your mother in Heaven on that fateful day. On this Easter Sunday, we celebrate the risen...

It is difficult to know what to say since I want to express my sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Pfc McClenney. Please know that your loved one is not forgotten. I wish everyone impacted by this tragic loss strength and peace. I hope that Pfc McClenney knew that there are people in America who respect his great courage in serving as a member of the US military. Although I did not know him, I know that he must have been a very special person to be willing to do something that most...
