Not sure what to say?

The sun and stars still shine for Dan as he truly was a wonderful man. I had the pleasure of meeting Dan and his amazing family in Siesta key many years ago. Over many years we talked, laughed n walked the beach and upon return each year it was a pleasure to catch up on the prior years events, successes and tribulations of life.
Im sad to hear this news but greatful for the time spent and memories shared. Siesta Key will always have a beach chair waiting. . You will be missed.

My family had the privilege of living next door to Dan in the 90's. If you remember Wilson, the guy behind the fence that Tim Allen always sought advice from on Home Improvement, that was Dan Baker to me. Dan and Carole quickly became part of our family as our children always looked forward to seeing "Grandma Carole" and "Baker" when they were outside. REFLECTIONS...Forty years ago we moved to Rockford. We were so fortunate to pick a home in the Baker clans hood.Dan was my first and best friend in Rockford. He and Carol and the kids immediately made us feel welcome and part of things.Dan's wit and sense of humor taught me a great lesson "Learn to laugh at yourself, and the world will laugh with you." Things were always more fun with Dan. A huge loss for your family and the community. Sincerely Love, Doug Robinson

Hollie and Tom, Frank and I send our sincerest condolences to you and your boys and the rest of your family at the sudden loss of your dear father! Mary Hillyard

I remember the first time I met your father, back in 1970, it was when I came over on a Sunday to see you Hollie....He met me at the door, and was very friendly, and always had a smile on his face. As the years went by, I got to know him better and better, until he became the neighborhood father of all the guys that hung around your house....He is a great guy, and will be missed deeply. May Gods love shine upon you and your family during these trying times.

Holly and family, so sorry to hear about the loss of your father. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of sorrow.

You and all of your loved ones are in our thoughts and our prayers, Kevin. Memories of those we love are such a sweet blessing and we pray that each of you will keep your most treasured memories of Dan close to your hearts. God's strength and blessings to you,

It was a true joy to know Dan! He is one of the nicest guys we have ever had the privilege to know. We are deeply sorry for the loss to Carole & their family...God Bless you.
