Daniel C. Balicki

My family sends our love and sincere condolences to Dan's wife Phyllis and two sons Aaron and Matthew. We will greatly miss Dan's giving heart and his great sense of humor. He was the strong anchor for me when we were growing up. May he rest in peace. Love, Marcia

Dan Balicki was a childhood friend with whom I shared my kid life from ages 9 to roughly 18 when he went off to college at St. Anselm. We learned and played little league baseball together, for our nurturing neighborhood coach, Mr Blaise (8 - 10, and 10 -12, or was it 10 -12 and 12 -14, I'm not sure which) but Danny was a great baseball player who hit everything they threw at him, and hit it a ton! even as a "little leaguer." We lost literally every game we played our first season, practiced...

Very sorry to hear about Coach Balicki's passing...I was the team manager for Coach Balicki at Cathedral for my four years in high school. We reconnected a few years ago when they celebrated the 50th anniversary of the WMass Basketball Championship team. He had great memories of those years which we shared, [a few I had forgotten] Coach of WMass Championship in basketball [1970] & baseball [1971] he was a true friend & mentor. Deepest sympathies to the family.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Coach Balicki. I remember him as being more than a coach, a friend, a mentor, and a person I could go to for guidance. its been more than 30 years and I still think of him from time to time as I always will. That is the impact that he had and has on my life. Again, I am sorry to hear of your loss.

I was very sorry to hear of Coach Balicki´s passing. I played for him at Cathedral High on the 1970 Western MA championship team. I appreciated his guidance helping me develop as a player and person. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Dan was my coach at Cathedral High school where he lead us to Western Mass. championships in baseball and basketball.Hs trust in me as a captain gave me the confidence to perform at a higher level.You have my deepest condolences.
