I have terminal cancer and went to YouTube because I needed contact with others in my situation. I found Daniel and was immediately drawn to him, his wit, his intelligence and his dignity. He was gone a couple of years before I found him. He touched so many of us he never even met and those many of us love him still.

A great courageous, kind, intelligent, caring human being. Rest in peace.

I´m sorry this is so late but I just saw this today and am heartbroken to have found out as I´ve been out of the area for quite some time. I was one of Dan´s scout leader along with his father and a few other dads. He was such a wonderful young man and a joy to have known. Jim/Sally, Judy and I offer our sincere condolences, Dan was a very special son for you. I tried calling but it wouldn´t go through. Give me a call sometime Jim when you have time, 704-619-0730. Daniel, I miss your wit, your honesty, and your candidness. I miss seeing your uploads on Youtube and even though we never met in person, your life and your experiences with your illness had an impact on me in many ways. I really do miss you, and I hope every day that there is somewhere in this world where you are happy and free and no longer in pain. Thank you, Daniel, for everything you did.

I haven´t thought of Dan since high school, but he appeared in my dream last night. He was very happy and enjoying a sleepover with friends. I came online to look him up & I saw this. Much sympathy to his family.
