Such a big hole Dan's passing has left in our lives. A wonderful friend and the very best hangar neighbor- always ready to lend a helping hand, cheerful encouragement or an invite to go up for an airport cafe lunch. We miss him dearly!! Sincere condolences to Pat, his co-pilot for life, and his son, daughter and family members. On behalf of everyone at the New England Air Museum, please accept our heartfelt condolences at the loss of Dan. We worked with him for the Wright Flight program's annual visit to the museum, and it was obvious how much Dan cared about his students, and how dedicated he was to sharing his passion for aviation with people of all ages. In the words of the aviator's poem High Flight, now that Dan has slipped the surly bonds of Earth, we hope he rests in peace, dancing the skies with laughter...
