Daniel Bernick, on December 22, 2020. Beloved husband of Elizabeth "Libby" Bernick (nee Rhoads). Loving father of Lee, Andrew, and Nina. Dear brother of Reuben and David. Dan was a graduate of Williams College, and received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business. As a long-time partner at The Health Care Group, Dan was proud to work with medical practices and help physicians with their business arrangements as they started or ended their medical careers. Dan served the community as a board member at Congregation Or Shalom and as president of the men's club. Dan was a life-long learner, whether it was teaching himself how to tie flies to catch the elusive brown trout in nearby Valley Creek, taking swimming lessons to improve his endurance, or learning how to speak Hebrew with friends. Dan loved to travel with his wife and family, and could be found at any museum lingering to learn well past the time when all others had moved on to the coffee shop. His squash buddies nick-named him Bulldog for his strong hits against the back wall and tenacious game. A favorite activity was reading on the back patio, with a cup of wicked strong coffee and his beloved dog basking in the sun beside him. Even through his illness, he shared his quiet strength and kind spirited humor with those around him. His memory will be a blessing to all who knew him. Graveside services will be private. Contributions in his memory may be made to Congregation Or Shalom, 835 Darby-Paoli Road, Berwyn, PA 19312 or the Tredyffrin Public Library, 582 Upper Gulph Road, Strafford, PA 19087.

Not sure what to say?

Dan and I were in classes together in high school at New Trier East. He was a very nice person. May his memory be a blessing.

His memory is a blessing.

I want to express my condolences to Dan’s family and friends. I am deeply saddened at Dan’s passing. I’ve known Dan professionally for almost twenty years and only met with him in person one time. We had many phone conversations regarding my medical practice but we always shared updates on our lives and interests. I was very fond of him and can only imagine the feelings of those closest to him in life. He was immanently likable. A truly good man. I will miss him. You are all in my...

I have know Dan since 2002. I was in the process of joining a plastic surgery practice and needed help in negotiating my contract. A colleague gave me Dan’s name. Since then, he has been my point person to turn to in navigating private practice. It was with great sorrow that I learned of his passing. I send my heartfelt condolences to his family. He will truly be missed.

My condolences to Dan's family. I worked with Dan since he started at the Health Group since 1991. He was an excellant attorney who I count on for greated professional advice. He was also a friend who enjoyed not only taking about professional matters, the world-at-large and his family. I will miss him both his professional advice and his friendship.

I worked at The Health Care Group for 15 years and saw firsthand how truly dedicated Dan was to all of his clients. Even at times when unscheduled calls would come in, he’d drop what he was doing and take the call without hesitation. He was very quiet, until you’d engage him about his family and Sister. He would light up at the mention of them, he had happiness and pride written all over his face! It was such a shock to hear of his passing. I extend my sincerest condolences to Libby,...

It is with great shock and sadness I submit these memories. Dan was my attorney for the most important business decision of my life. To use him and his firm was the the best decisions I could have ever made. He was worked tirelessly for me. He gave me great confidence throughout the entire process and thereafter. He was decisive yet kind and gentle. I would not have the things that I have today if it were not his counsel and expertise. He was always honest and forthright in everything...

Condolences to the Bernick Family and Dan's loved ones. He was an outstanding attorney and extremely kind and professional in all of my interactions with him. He will be missed
