Dan was a dear and witty friend who I have known for years and always graciously invited me to his Tahoe lake house once a year with a group of other friends for a weekend of good food, laughter, boating and, of course, lots of alcohol! As fun as Dan could be, he also had a very responsible, serious side that just made him a perfect citizen. And wherever you went with him in Tahoe, he was well known and well-liked. I will miss him terribly as a true gentleman and a feisty and beautiful...
