Dear Beyerlein family,

I am terribly sorry for your loss. Dan was a great buddy of mine from the Seabees. We did several training exercises and deployments together over the 4 or 5 years I knew him. One thing about Dan was he always had the biggest goofy smile on his face. No matter the situation, he was always in high spirits. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand whether in or out of uniform, and had a natural ability to lighten even the worst moods and situations. I can recall...

I am so very sorry to hear about this, its so unreal. It almost seems like Ricky Benson and I were just talking to him in gym just the other day so its so heartbreaking to find this out. We hope you all remain strong during this difficult time and we wish you all the best in the world. Even though we did know Dan for very long He had such a great spirit in the gym that it made all of us work harder, smile and laugh everyday. Truly and inspiration to everyone.

So Sorry to hear about Dan. Randy and I always wonder what happening with the kids that were on our bus. I had Dan when started in Standal area.
