Daniel Edwin Bitner age 68 passed away on February 17, 2017. He was born February 5, 1949 to John and Helen Bitner in Detroit, Michigan. Daniel had been a resident of Avon Park, Florida for six months coming from Kalkaska County Michigan. He served his county in the U.S. Marines Platoon 34 during the Vietnam era. Daniel was an avid golfer, loved his motorcycle and was devoted to and loved his family. He leaves behind his wife Diana Bitner of Avon Park, Florida; his children, Danielle Ives (James), Byron Albert, David Albert and Melinda Albert all from Michigan; his siblings, James Short (Lynn) of California, John H. Bitner (Gayann) of Wyoming, Robert Bitner of Indiana, Kay Shingleton-Carney (Sharon) of New Mexico and Caryl Flagle (Mark) of Indiana; and his grandchildren Carter and Josephine Ives, Zachary Albert, Sage Renae Neu, and Nikki Niswender. Services will be at a later date in Michigan.
