Danny,
I'm so sorry that I could not be at your memorial services today. I hope you understand that I could not go to Houston because of my own illness. I'm feeling just terrible about not being there to honor your life and have been crying since I arose this a.m. Your life was so precious let me honor it here and at home. To the Family,
I am forever grateful for having had Danny as a friend for the last 20 years. He was instrumental in helping me to become the man that I am today. He was always just a phone call away and always picked me up through his wonderful sense of humor. He will be sorely missed.

It just won't be the same without seeing Danny at HEB. Forever a kind word to ever so many people he knew. Forever a kindness to those he just met for the first time. Forever trying to brighten the day for everyone with whom he came into contact.
Danny, I am glad to say I knew you, even if it was only for far too short a time. May God bless you and keep you in the palm of His hand.
