Not sure what to say?

Stacey and family,

Thinking of you in this time of sorrow and hoping you find comfort in warm memories.

Oh My! I cannot even begin to express how Dan and the whole family made me feel when I lived in Mt. P andworked for them. I still tell people how amazing it is that Dan would remember your name, your spouses name and who you hung out with even after many years and not seeing him for a time. He always said (as recently as last summer) that he wanted to bring his family out here for a visit. Please know that the door is open and you are welcome to be here any time. My very deepest...

To the Breidenstein Family:
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. The Bird was a warm, wonderful place for us during college and Dan's kind, generous heart and easy smile was a big part of that warmth and comfort. My husband and I met at the Bird and this year will be our 5th anniversary. Please know that Dan's fatherly regard and the family at the Bird left an indelible mark on many of those college kids and we will carry his memory with us always. We're so sorry for your loss.

Breidensteins, Words cannot begin to express how sorry we are for your loss. We will always remember Dan's engaging smile!! Our thoughts are with you.

To Dan's Family, Employees, Friends, and Acquantances:

What a great loss we have all suffered. It's hard to even put into words how I, and probably many, feel. Dan was a great man! He will always be remembered, though differently by each of us. If you saw him, either in the bar or on the street, you were sure of a howdy - how ya doing? He was such a giving and friendly man. I'm fortunate to have known Dan and will, as will others, miss him dearly and will never forget...

I notice that the words genuine, kind, giving, and honest are repeated by many people in the entrys in this book. There are so many more words to describe Dan; compassionate, happy, devoted, and loving are just a few more. Many people deserve some of these descriptive terms, but only a few truly deserve every one of them. Dan was such a person and will be missed by more people than we will ever know. Mt. Pleasant will be a much different place without Dan.

To the Breidenstein Family:

Please accept my deepest sympathies for you at this time in your lives.

I struggle to find words to fit my thoughts right now. I cannot imagine the depth of your sorrow at the loss of Dan.

I admired and respected Dan for many reasons, but I most admired his sense of family because it included everyone he ever met. Until I met Dan, I never had the privilege to know someone so genuine. I know that he loved you all with his entire...

We've never known a nicer man.

Lois and Family,

We share what is already being expressed by the community. Dan will always be remembered as a kind, giving man who touched so many simply by being himself. He will be greatly missed.
