Dan was a dear, dear friend! He, Jack Regan, and I to dinner 4 or 5 times a year for 30 years. What laughs we had! Dan welcomed a young BLS graduate (Class of `88) to The Latin School in 1994 as a full-fledged, capable faculty member. I will always be thankful for his kindness and consideration.
