Not sure what to say?

Mike, Ruth and Family,
Your dad was truly one of a kind. He always had a smile and a kind word to offer. We had many good days on the soccer field sidelines. He will be missed. Love to you all.

I worked with Dan at Southeastern Regional Vocational Tech High School. Dan was a terrific guy. His students loved him and he had a natural respect for his students. He will be missed.

A great teacher and coach! We worked together at Putnam for 19 years. He will be missed. God Bless.

As the years go by, my memories of the Butler family are of friendship, warmth and laughter. Tom and Mike, my heartfelt condolences to you and your extended family of cousins. When I think of the Butler family, I think of both families as one.

Putnam Beavers 1994-95

Prayers and condolences to the family as you begin this new journey. I knew Dan as a friend and then as the varsity coach to my son at Putnam (92-95). My heart is heavy that another Angel has been called home so soon. While his loss saddens me, I'll turn that frown into a smile by recalling some of the stories he would tell of his stint in Africa and how E-T could not come home from Florida this past winter due to the weekly storms. He leaves a legacy that no one else can claim. God Bless...

My condolences to Mr. Butlers family he was one of my favorite teachers at Putnam many years ago..

Mr butler will never be replaced as a person mentor coach teacher or what ever you may have needed him to be at your moment of distress he will be well miss for those of use that new him best as his students knew how good of a person he was cause we all entered his class as strangers to him but he treated us all the best and we all left that building knowing not all people are bad to his family my heart and prayers go out to all of you because I know nothing can replace the love of a father...
