Thank you for the many lively memories at Gift of Life transplant House at Mayo!! We love you and Kate.

Dear Kate, Very sorry to hear about Dan. He was a wonderful man, very kind I will send a donation to the foundation identified in his obituary. All the best Jim Slattery

I've known Danny since I was in 8th grade with Patty at St. Mel. He was a great big-brother to all his siblings and I know his wife, children, grandchildren and Tommy, Jimmy, Patty and Brian will miss him immensely. Safe home Danny.

So sad. Danny was kind, intelligent, thoughtful with an easy smile and a quick wit. The world is a lesser place without Danny. So sorry for your great loss Katy.

Dan was in my homeroom freshman and sophomore year at Ignatius, so I knew him fairly well. We would always reconnect at the reunions over the years. I remember him as a very friendly, humorous guy. RIP

Sorry for your loss Kate. You may not remember but I had a heart transplant and stayed at G O L when Dan and you were there. Denny sent the obituary to me. I think it's nice when people keep track of fellow transplantees. Denny has always kept me up to date. Sincere wishes for the future. Ron and Rocelle Shann

Trust and admiration are the two words that come to mind when I think of Dan.. Always a genuine smile...a let's figure this out attitude.. Compassion for everyone he worked with.. I learned so very much from him and not sure I ever told him so.. Rest in peace

My condolences to the Carey family on your loss. Dan was a true gentleman and friend. It was a great pleasure of mine to be able to work with Dan for many years.

Nice guy at St. Ignatius High; always had a good sense of humor--particularly about relationships.
