Not sure what to say?

To Bill & Joe. So sorry to hear of his passing. God be with all of you. Merry Harth

My condolences to you Shirley and your family. Dan was a great guy. My brother Marshall and my husband of 67 years - Jim Birch - thought highly of Dan as did I. I remember Jim and I double dating with you and Dan - great memories! My best wishes for you and your family, Jean Barbour Birch

To the Cason Family,

I had the pleasure of meeting Dan when I worked at Mt. Scott Community Center. I looked forward to seeing him and having a lively conversation when he came in to exercise. I also loved the opportunities to visit with Dan and Shirley at the monthly dinners organized by the senior group that exercised at Mt. Scott. Seeing Shirley and Dan together and hearing about their lives and their family brought much joy to my life. I did not know Dan for very long but I...

Cason family, Dan will never be forgotten. He was such a special person to all who knew him. We loved the friendship we had with him. We will miss him. Bruce & Jean Robbins

Dan has been like a loving and kind older brother to me my entire life. When he was dating my cousin, Shirley, they would come to our house in his dark blue Ford coupe with the rumble seat. The three of us would drive to Sellwood Park and swing. Such fun we had! I thought he looked very handsome during WW II dressed in his Air Force uniform. Dan always showed much respect to my parents. Jim and I have been married over 60 years and have shared laughter and tears with our "Cason Cousins"....

I met Dan several years ago when my youngest son was dating his granddaughter, Mary. It was such a pleasure to be included in family get togethers after the kids married. I remember Dan's twinkling eyes, incredible sense of humor and delightful laugh! His spirit for life was evident in his smile and engaging personality. His spirit lives on in his family, including my granddaughter Leila.....who seems to have his wit and charm. May God rest his soul and embrace his family with His grace.

From the moment I met you I admired the man you were. You were honest, kind, accepting, caring and loving. The first time I met you I felt like I was your family. Thank you for being a true gentleman and sharing your love and life with everyone. I have been truly blessed to have known you.

Among a million other things I will miss about grandpa, I will mostly miss teasing him about his face not being clean shaven (a very rare occasion) and our ongoing battle of who could squeeze the hardest while giving each other a hug. Very blessed for both grandfathers I got to have in my 27 years!
