I went to school with Doug and after many years had passed saw him again upon my returning to Talladega. Of course we both had aged and we laughed at how much we had aged!! Uncle Doug brought so many smiles to everyone he knew and loved. He loved his family and let people know it too. You never knew what joke, or comment he would make. He loved his kids. He loved his great niece Kristin and let it be known. Doug was a great man. He was so sweet and would do anything he could to help anyone who needed it. He will be truly missed.

Doug was one of the truest friends a person could ever have. He was a kind and gracious man that was always there to lend a helping hand and never asked for anything in return. He will be forever missed and never forgotten. We love you Doug. Rest in peace.
