Not sure what to say?

I just learned of Dan's passing. My heart goes out to Joan and to Dan's whole family. I met Dan in the late '70's when he was my supervisor and I was a graduate student in social work. Dan's calmness and his serious/humorous presence, in addition to his knowledge and experience, were enormously helpful as I navigated my graduate student experience on an adult inpatient psychiatry unit at University Hospital. Our professional paths crossed a couple of times later: After my graduation, he...

Joan and family my heart goes out to you. One of the good guys. Always helpful when I would call with a question or concern wherever he was working at the time. He will be missed. it is a better place cause he was and still is in it. Take Care!

Dear Joan
So sad to hear of Dan's death. We have such happy memories of him. Love Cambridge Alan & Eleanor

Joan, you and your wonderful family are in my thoughts and prayers. Dan was an exceptional person, his kindness, concern, and love enriched the lives of many, the world has been blessed by his presence here and he will be missed by all of us who had the good fortune to know him.

Sincere condolences to Joan and the entire family. Dan's passing is very sad news. He was indeed a giving and kind man whose legacy is his family and his life work. It was an honor to know him.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Dan's wife Joan and his children at this untimely passing of a dear man. I worked with Dan at Harborview and Overlake hospitals and enjoyed doing so because Dan was a kind and considerate human being, a person who made thoughtful decisions, and a man of integrity. These qualities made him an excellent Social Worker and a wonderful supervisor to me. God speed Dan!

He was the sweetest guy and a great neighbor. So sorry to hear of his passing. All the best.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Dan. Im sure he will be missed by his family and loved ones.

SO like Dan to make a final "wry" comment! Final turnover, indeed! I can just hear him quietly chuckle over that!
Bon Voyage, dear cousin!
