Daniel Coborn

I had the honor of having a job at the Sauk Rapids Coborn's in the mid-70's while in college at St. Cloud. I watched first hand how hard he and his brothers were working and got a sense what real work ethic could accomplish.

Dan later came to my commissioning ceremony at St. Cloud and watched along with my mom the US Army pin 2nd Lieutenant bars on me.

To the Coborn Family. I have many wonderful memories of Dan. From the time I worked in Sauk Rapids in 1978 until I retired I had so much respect for your dad and for your husband Mabel. He was a wonderful man. I am sorry that I can not be with you at the funeral. We are in AZ for the month. Sending prayers and many hugs for your family. Laura and Brian-Bones Marek

I work for Dan for almost 5 years. I remember on my first day in the office Dan came to my office personally just to see how I was doing and to tell me if I needed anything just to let him know. He was a one-of-a-kind and a great man and we will miss him.

Nancy and Family, Was so sorry to hear of the passing of your brother Dan. I know what a great influence he was on my brothers Nick and Tony! It goes way back to 1958 when Nick and I stayed with your parents and when Mom Lillian moved our Family to St. Cloud after our Dad passed. Great memories, please know you are in our prayers!
