Not sure what to say?

I am remiss that I heard of Dan's death today, I was just a friend that is very sorry to hear of his passing. Dan was a great guy who I knew from the St. Dennis , St Thomas Moore neighborhood. We shared a great deal of good times together but lost touch over the years.
God bless.

My my heart felt sympathies go out to the entire Collins family.

Danny was my first love, many, many years ago, but girls never forget.

Danny, thank you for the memories.

I remember Mike from the hallways at Mt. Carmel. A really quiet man
who gained the respect of all who came in contact with him. I remember the close relationship he had with his brother Ray who was in my graduating class. A tremendous football player and a tremendous guy-may he now Rest in Peace. He played the game of life for four full quarters and never gave up. The words spoken by Frank Moran in the Tribune Obituary were superb. Go Carmel.

Daniel was one of the gentlest men I've known, he was always kind to me and soft spoken. My deepest condolences to his family he surely will be missed at the M.E.'s Office.

Sincerely,

To The Entire Collins Family, I am very sorry for your loss. I always admired Danny's quiet strength and pray that some of that strength will sustain all of you now and in the near future to cope with his absence. Sincerely, Frank Cunningham Mt.Carmel '72

To the Whole Collins Family,
I am truly sorry for the lose of Danny. It's been many years and I'm sorry I found out too late to attend. Please forgive me.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Danny was a first-rate investigator. His professionalism, common sense, humor, and warmth will be deeply missed. The M.E.'s Office won't be quite the same.

To Mike and all of the Collins family, my deepest condolences. I worked with Danny for ten years at the CCME and loved every minute of my time with him. I respected Dan and he helped my thru some difficult times. The Cook County Medical Examiner has lost one of the best of the best.

I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to the Collins family on their loss of a man I considered to be a friend and highly professinal investigator of the Medical Examinater Offices. As a former "waganman" I had literly 100's of contacts, via phone or in person with Dan during my years off duty in the 10th District. He will be missed by all. Richard Donnelly, Sr. ret.Chgo.Police Officer.
