Not sure what to say?

Dear Anita and family,

I just wanted to express my condolences and let you know that I will be praying for you specifically. Your family was a great inspiration and example to me as a young christian and I spent many happy hours at your home.

May the Lord give all of you special peace during this difficult time.

Dear Anita: We were shocked to hear that Dan had died. We don't take the Flint Journal, but Margie Van Houten (Bowman) is in Michigan for a visit, and she called at 10:45 Saturday and asked me if I had heard. Had I known sooner, we would have come to the funeral. We are so sorry for your loss. We read all about him and his many accomplishments and are proud to have known such a fine man. God is looking after you, so don't fret. Love you

I was secretary for the I.E. Engineering group that Dan was a very important part of. I remember that I baked him a cake on his birthday and he was very pleased. I will always remember his humor and his deep faith. He was dedicated to his family, his church and life.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Our hearts and prayers go out to you in your time of sorrow. Uncle Dan was a Great man and I'll miss him deeply.

Another pillar of our church has been called home, but as our hearts ache, we can take comfort in the fact that by Dan's example others will step up to carry on in his absence. We serve a mighty God

Our hearts go out to you at this time and in the days ahead.
