Daniel P. "Cos" Cosden

Cos was a wonderful human being and a beautiful person that will be surely missed by all who knew and loved him. I first met Dan more than fifty years ago, at the age of 6, when he latched on to my left bit it and drew blood, and we've been friends since. I saw Dan in June, this year, and upon recalling that story he said he was just marking his territory. Dan may not be in this world any longer, but he continues to live on ever time I share one of our many adventures with a friend or happy...

I was stationed with Dan on the USS Piedmont (AD-17) in 1980 - 1981 prior to his reenlistment and orders to Naval Base Guam. Instead of renting an apartment together we bought a house. We stayed in touch after Dan got out of the Navy and went whitewater rafting together in 1986. Dan visited my home in Chesapeake, VA in 2008 and that was the last time I saw him. We did talk on the phone over the years but fell out of touch around 2011 until I reached out in April of this year. We talked...
