Not sure what to say?

Thinking of and praying for Dan's family on this anniversary.

It was a real pleasure meeting Dan when he covered our West Denison Baseball League when we were featured on PM Magazine back in the early 80´s. Dan was not only a great sportswriter but a heartwarming individual as well. Our sincere condolences to his family. He was truly one of the great voices in Cleveland sports who will be greatly missed.

My husband, Chris, and I send Dan´s family heartfelt condolences. Dan was one in a million. An absolute treasure of a man. Our Press Club of Cleveland days memories will be with me forever. As many have said, and I will repeat, he made EVERYONE feel special and heard. The world needs more people like him. Rest in peace, Danny.

The Holy Family (Stow) basketball program offers condolences to the Coughlin family members at St. Angela (a great rival).

He always had a good word for me and a new story but he loved it when I called him Hubert. RIP, Dan, your memory will be eternal. ...

Dan vowed things would be different in `72. When the tournament broke for about 2-3 hours prior to the finals on Saturday Dan said, "Follow me. We went to his car. He popped the trunk. Inside was a large cooler full of homemade ham and cheese sandwiches and ice cold sodas. There also were chips and cookies and I think some candy...
