Daniel Larry Cress was born November 2, 1942 in Tacoma, WA, the son of Harry Elton Cress and Thelma (Strong) Cress. His parents preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a son, James Cress; his grandchild, Sabastian Pugh and two brothers, Bob Cress and Ted Cress. He married Shawn Beauman on November 2, 1990 in Boswell, OK HE LOVED! Our precious husband, dad, papa and friend LOVED his Gift of Life! A man after God's own heart... Jesus was his heartbeat. A faithful servant for over 53 years, he lived to preach the Word and win souls for the Kingdom of God...Church life and being a pastor filled his heart with joy. His family was his LOVE. ..his quiver was full and he cherished every chance to spend time with his wife, children, grandkids and family. Times spent together were filled with loads of food, fun and laughter. Christmas time was his favorite holiday and our home was always full of excitement and family. His annual reading of the story of Christ's birth was an anticipated family tradition. He followed by sharing his walk with the Lord and charging our children and grandchildren to carry on the heritage they were blessed with. He never met a stranger, wherever he went he made friends ...if he wasn't sharing God's word he was talking Antiques! He was a true mentor to many – he loved taking someone under his wing and teach them Gods word, encouraging them and lifting them up. He never worried about himself – he was the most humble and kind hearted man, full of faith, patience and longsuffering. Shopping was a passion! food, clothes, vehicles, gifts and especially Antiques.... No garage sale or antique mall was safe from his searching eye..his energy and excitement grew every time he found a good buy. He never tired of spending time at the antique shop, and unsuspecting customers were putty in his hands. Years of working as a meat cutter left him a connoisseur of meat and of every sale in the grocery store. He would stock ours and others refrigerators and cupboards …laughing about his great deals as he drug bag after bag out of his truck. He loved keeping his yard like a park.. he was a kid full of excitement when he got to ride his mower....one of his rituals was taking the younger grandkids for rides around the yard, his smile was as big as the lucky kid who got to ride with papa. He loved to travel .. trips to Washington state and Hot Springs were his favorites. Going out to eat just thrilled him... the more people that would join him, the better. Huge bowls or cones of ice cream, steaks and pies were his favorites and feeding his family and friends thrilled him. A creative foodie, he loved to cook and could come up with the craziest concoctions that just made him laugh and his family shake our heads. And finally he was a giver… he gave of his time, his energy, his resources and most of all his unconditional love. As his wife of 25 plus years I was blessed with being spoiled and loved beyond measure by my best friend and my forever soul mate. I love you babe…in Gods time I will join you. I knew Danny from years ago when he and Doris and their kids lived in Everett, Washington. I lived with them for a while and almost moved back with them to Texas, it devastated me when they moved but since my youngest sister was in high school I didn't want to miss her graduation. I did go back and visit them a few times and was able to go to Travis and Kari's weddings when they got married but sadly through the years lost contact with them.
My heart goes out to Danny's family and my...

Deepest sympathy. Brother Daniel was a man of God and an asset to his church and community. I was blessed to have him as a neighbor for a short time.
