Not sure what to say?

My son had him as a teacher and found him to be patient, thoughtful, funny and effective. I am grateful to have been a coworker of Dan and enjoyed many long conversations with him. He was opposed to the Vietnam war but wanted to serve his country. One of his roles in the Coast Guard, essentially principal of a small junior college (to quote him), really put his talents to work in the best way as he helped shape young minds. I think this is one of his many great gifts to the world.

We both were students at "old Fowler" and Mr. Cronen was our math teacher. I later taught in the TTSD and it was fun to remind Mr. Cronen I was a former student.

Mr Cronen was my math teacher at Fowler. He was an excellent teacher and such a nice person! He was proud of his time in the Coast Guard and he loved to talk about it. Rest Peacefully, Mr Cronen

You were a great teacher at Fowler! You went out of your way to be kind, compassionate and caring to us!! Especially the day we did a "sit in" protest to the Vietnam war! Rest in Peace and soar with the Eagles.

Dan ... " the Man"...a great guy. Patient and caring with his math students and a supporter of the fine arts at CC. I enjoyed our athletic banter in general and U of P in specific. Rest in peace my friend.

Single Memorial Tree

Several colleagues of Central Catholic High School who taught with Dan are extremely sad about his passing. I have either texted or e-mailed several CC current and past staff members. I was one of those colleagues at CC during Dan´s tenure there. Dan was such a great human being, very patient and a dedicated teacher. Most importantly he bragged and had a huge smile every time he talked about Cathy and their children and grandkids! Dan was a devoted Catholic and proud to be one! Your friend...

So sorry to hear this news. I was a student of Mr. Cronen´s for Geometry. One afternoon while getting extra help on an assignment, Mr. Cronen told me something I´ll never forget. That I was good at Math and the only person who believed I wasn´t any good was myself. It shifted my outlook and gave me the confidence boost I needed to successfully complete his class. He was a wonderful teacher.
