I is a shock to me to hear of his passing. I was in the office last winter talking to him. In the typical small talk, he asked where I worked. When I told him of my job for which I was commuting to GR, he then made a comparison to a company in Holland. I think he was acting as a messenger of God in that moment. His gracious, caring question made me willing me take the call when that local company called. Now I am here in Holland, blessed and happier than ever thanks to Dan.

I sought Dan out in 2010 because I own the DeLeeuw family home on w 17thst to ask questions and talk about the houses history, little did I realize I would make a friend. Today I went in to DeLeeuw Lumber asking for him, A very nice young man Steve told me he was not with us anymore.. I gave Dan an old push lawn mower that was left in my garage which I was sure belong to him.. This was a good guy and I am still in shock.. He told me many times that he intended on buying his house back.. Rest...

Know our love and prayers are with you and the family. God never said that life would be easy, but he promised better things ahead if we believe. We are so blessed to know where we are going.
