Daniel E. Della-Giustina Ph.D.

I greatly miss Uncle Danny. He was my favorite uncle from the time I was an infant. In my early years he would take me in his car and drive around. I was at his wedding when I was five years old. Throughout my life he was an inspiration, including when I became a professor. He was my father's younger brother and they remained close until my father's death in 2015. My sister Marsha also remained close (he was her godfather) until her passing in 2013. He was will always be in my thoughts.

Dr. Dan was a special man that devoted so much time to helping show the next generation of safety the way. He was not just a professor he was a mentor and friend that made you feel like family. His legacy will definitely live on through all the individuals who were blessed to know him. I will always be grateful for the time I got to spend with him over the years since we met on the classroom at WVU.

I am so sorry to hear of Dan´s passing. My father, Chico Manzi always spoke so highly of him. I am sure Chico and the rest of the the South End gang will be waiting to welcome Dan...
