Mr. Daniel Dellinger, 56, of Barton died peacefully April 27, 2008 in Lebanon, New Hampshire. He was born January 21, 1952 in Staten Island, New York a son of Elizabeth (Peterson) Dellinger and the late David Dellinger. Daniel was a free lance proof reader for the Stein Hour Press and he was also a respite care worker. Writing was his passion in life and among his hobbies he enjoyed bird watching, hiking, and being with nature at the south end of Lake Willoughby which was his favorite place. Daniel was a free spirited and very kind hearted man, a great tipper, an avid Red Sox Fan and an advocate for the underdog.
He is survived by his beloved life-time partner and caretaker Lin Ball of Barton,his former wife Cathy Dellinger of Danville, his mother Elizabeth Dellinger of Cooperstown,NY, and by the following brothers and sisters: E. Patchem Dellinger and his wife Lissa of Seattle,Washington, Howard Douglas of Nazareth,Pa; Natasha Dellinger and her husband Lenny Singer of Westford,NY;and Michele Dellinger McDonough and her companion Daniel Cliffton of New York City. He was predeceased by his father David Dellinger, a brother Raymond Dellinger Sundance, a niece Michele, and two nephews Christopher and Benjamin.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday May 3, 2008 at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Memorial Chapel, 37 Lake Road, Newport. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of the service on Saturday. Should friends desire, contributions in his memory may be made to the Upper Valley Hostel, 17 South Main Street, Hanover, New Hampshire 03755. I wish that we were talking under different
circumstances . Myself and both of my brothers will
miss Danny so much ,he was like a brother to all of us
.We were all saddened by the news that he is gone .We

I worked with Dan at the Stinehour Press in Lunenburg and I must say it was a pleasure to have known him. There are many good memories and laughs. He will be missed and always remembered. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
