Daniel C. DiBona, age 81, of Milton, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2009 at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, after suffering from cancer.
Born in Quincy, Massachusetts on February 27, 1928, son of the late Donato and Rita (Bettuchy) DiBona, he resided in Milton, NH for the past 24 years.
He served bravely with the United States Army Air-Corps and was wounded during World War II, while in Japan.
Danny worked for the Town of Milton at the recycling center. He also had worked at the Southeastern Regional School in Easton, Massachusetts.
He is survived by Katherine of 37 years and children: Joseph Lavoie of Milton, Jacki Lavoie-Staples and husband Wayne of Milton, Robert Lavoie of West Bridgewater, MA, 3 grandchildren: Carolyn Clough of Milton, Danielle Lavoie of New Bedford, MA and Bobby Lavoie of Hanover, MA and great granddaughter: Maryjane Clough of Milton.
Calling hours are Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH 03835. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 11:00 am at St. Anthony’s Church on Meadow Street in Sanbornville, NH with Fr. Edmund A. Babicz, pastor, as celebrant.
