Not sure what to say?

Dear Dan,
I always cherished our walks through the trails at Alimagnet Park. Although I wish I had more time to spend with you, I feel blessed to have had the time I did. You never knew how much you helped me when I was going through a difficult time. I felt happy when I was in your presence. I lived in the moment during those times and felt safe and secure with your calm, sweet nature. Hiking through the seasons with Buddy, you, Angie, Cooper and, many times, with an entire pack of...

Dan,
It's been 14 days since I received the email from Susan on that Monday morning telling me you passed away. No, it just can't be....but it was! I looked at my last email from you and it was at 2:51 on the previous Friday, just two days before. Who would have ever thought that would be the last email I would receive from you? There are times when I'm sure we're all doing okay but then a moment comes when a thought of you crosses our mind and the tears won't stop. I think of AC...

You have no idea how much I will miss you but I am so thankful for the time we had together. It has been a blessing to have you as a brother, and I am honored.

I'm going to miss my friend very much. Thoughts and prayers for the family and friends.

Dan, Angie and Cooper were my walking partners most evenings after work. we always had a nice time, cold or not. watching for animals across the lake, listening for owls, discussing which socks might be the best for our walks in the cold. We talked about house shows on HGTV, and work a little. I miss him terribly. I wish the best to his family and am glad for Dan and the friends I have made because of him.

John, Carol and Siblings - I am sadden to hear of your loss, I did not know your son but I'm sure he was a good man as is his father. May your memories help you through this time. Know the love of your family and friends will always be there.

I met Dan in 6th grade back in '72 and we became fast friends. We occasionally got in trouble together in middle school, but it was much fun. In recent years, I'd stop in and visit him if I saw him tinkering with his cars in his garage. I'm saddened to hear of his passing, and will miss him.

To Dan's Family,
I just heard about his passing today and was so sorry to hear it. Dan went to school with my son
