Not sure what to say?

Dan and I were neighbors and had become pretty close during the lockdown times. I saw him almost every day when he went for his walk. He cracked me up. He was so kind and funny and aware of his own imperfections. I feel lucky to have known him. And, boy, did he love his kids and his grandkids. He lit up every time he talked about them. I think about you all the time, Dan! You were a lighthouse during dark and strange times!

Dan's smile was infectious, he lit up the room. I always enjoyed his company be it basketball, pool, biking, golf, or watching a good game at the sports bar. He will be missed by us all!

Our sympathies to Tony, Valerie, Dan´s siblings, Gina, and the rest of the family. We send you our love and prayers. Dan coached the Holy Family CYO basketball team that included Valerie and our daughter Lauren. Those were good times, and we had a lot of fun with Dan in those days. Dan did indeed love laughter. We will remember him for that.

I´m very sorry to hear of Dan´s passing. It´s hard to believe. I went to both Grade and High School with him AND, I was his roommate in the dorms our freshman year at Oregon. Dan was incredibly smart and very funny/witty. He had the driest sense of humor ever. I played a lot of pool with Dan and saw him after college at lunchtime at The Bear Paw Inn. We had a lot of fun back then. I regret not having the opportunity to play more golf with him. He was a great player. Very focused and he hit...

For the last few years, during the week, Dan would meet up with his cousin Don and us at Eastmorland, his favorite golf course, for a quick 9 holes before heading up to visit with his Dad. Dan always had good stories to tell and we all looked forward to playing with Dan and hearing him laugh as we hacked our way around the course, Dan was a nice addition to our golf group and will be missed.

Such a loss...we are sad. RIP Narvel (Dan) see you at the 19TH hole!!!

We are so sorry to hear about Dan's passing. Dan was so sweet, caring and kind to all of our family. He always made us feel part of his family and we will remember his infectious laughter. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
