Daniel C. Fennerty

Dan was a fun person and great colleague at W. F. West. Many of my SPED colleagues later studied with him at CWU. He made a difference to others; and clearly he did that with the love of a devoted wife and family. I´m sorry he went on so soon.

Dan was such a great professor at CWU. I'm so sorry to read about his passing last summer. Regards to his family.

15 years after graduating from CWU, I still find myself quoting Dr. Fennerty or reflecting on his guidance. In fact, I was just writing about him for a paper in my principal prep coursework when I decided to look him up and learned of his passing. I learned so much from his classes, and truly enjoyed his teaching style. What I remember most about him was how he had us learn by doing. Some of the most practical assignments of undergrad were creating and proctoring assessments in his class. ...

Dan was one of my best pickleball instructors, volunteering his time to teach PB 201 and PB 202 for many years. Dan was a joy to work with and an amazingly positive instructor with all of the students. His smile was contagious! I will miss his friendship but know Dan has gone to a better place.

Loved talking with him in his office at CWU about children, horses, possible rides and could he please comply with needed paper work!

I remember riding in the evening with Dan in the hills around Ellensburg and he got near an elk herd. Told me to be quiet and it was surreal how the horses never bothered the herd.
