Bev and family, my wife and I are spending the holidays in New York and learned of Dan's passing from a friend in Roanoke who was aware of my friendship with you and Dan. It was a shock to me as I had so many visits with you all in Blacksburg and in Fairfax County. My condolences to you and the girls. Love, Rodney Taylor

Dan was a remarkable gentleman who's leadership was known throughout Virginia. He contributed immensely to the work of AARP and made a lasting mark by improving the experience of aging for all. He will be deeply missed by the staff of AARP and the many AARP friends he created across the state.
