I recall dr Fraser’s being a part of dr Doyle’s surgeons many years ago - special gentleman

Dr. and Mrs. Fraser were wonderful neighbors. He was always willing to take a minute to say hello, friendly and always happy. Prayers to the entire family as I know he will be missed. He was a very good person.

Dr.Fraser performed surgery on me 40 years ago for Hodgkins disease. At the time I was 12 or 13 years old. He told me that it was one of the hardest surgeries he performed because he had a daughter of similar age and he connected with me emotionally because of it. I remember him crying at my bedside with me. He also, against my parents wishes, gave permission for me to go roller skating a week after surgery. I of course fell and broke my stitches open, he sewed me back up and made me promise...

Sad to hear of Dan’s passing. Dan was a resident when I rotated through surgery and subsequently served as a surgical intern at SLU. A fine teacher, surgeon, and, man. If one’s goal is to leave the world a better place for our being here, Dan was a success. The world is a better place. My prayers go to Dan and his family.
