Not sure what to say?

Passing along our condolences as we were unable to attend the funeral. Linda and I worked with Dan at Tri State and I also served with him at La Crescent Fire Department. He was always friendly and fair with us and we have fond memories we will cherish. We wish all family members the best. He was a joy to know. We are sad to hear of his passing.

Dear Melanie, Michelle, and Matt,
Sending our deepest sympathy to you and your families at this difficult time. Danny was a thoughtful, caring, and faith-filled man that will be missed. Care for each other as you mourn and trust that God will hold you in the palm of his hand. Our love & prayers are with you all.

Mel and family, I am so glad I had a chance to meet Dan. I know he will be missed. Kristie Thorson, First National Bank in Sioux Falls

Prayers and thoughts are with you Melonie, Michelle and Matt. He was a great man.

We would like to express our sympathy, thoughts, and prayers to Mel and the family during this time of loss. May you find peace in the memories you shared together during his time with you. Special Olympics Sioux Falls Fireworks athletes and volunteers.

Having been faithful up to death, he now has the crown of life, through Jesus Christ his Lord

Dan was a joy to have around. The first time I met him he was one of those guys I felt like I'd known forever. He loved the dachshunds, always willing to help and even fostered and adopted a couple from us. Dan will be missed, I know he is in heaven, smiling down on Johnny and all the other foster dogs. The pups waiting for us at The Rainbow Bridge have an amazing man hanging out in the green fields with them.

Danny was fun to be around at the farm and family gatherings. Never a sour word about anyone or anything just quiet and firm convictions. A man always willing to share what he had so others could have a more pleasurable time. His generous smile will be missed by his brother, niece, nephew and other family. May he rest comfortably with our Lord. Feelings and prayers of comfort for his immediate family and Joan.

My sincere condolences to Dan's family. My late husband George and I used to talk to Dan every so often as he lived down the block from us. George walked nearly every day and told me he talked to Dan about various topics. We knew Linda too and knew that was hard for him to lose her. I am sorry to hear of his passing, I know he was excited to move to South Dakota. Take care, enjoy your good memories. Sincerely,
Jan McCune former neighbor at 917 Spruce Drive
