Not sure what to say?

Sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one. Charles and Diana Mettille

So sorry to hear of the Furlong Dad passing. Thinking of you all with prayers and wishes for a good New Year!

Sat many time in the VFW in Soldotna and enjoyed talking with Dan, about his time in the 82nd 504th. My brother Charlie was in the same outfit at the same time as Dan. Sorry to hear of his passing and will miss him. He & the men of the 82nd were my heros, when I was growing up and forever.

Dan was a great man and a true friend to my husband and I, we enjoyed the time we spent with him hanging out at the VFW. We always enjoyed his awesome sense of humor. He will be missed. Even heaven has improved with his presence.

Dan was such a sweet old man. He was always a joy to be around. His family was faithful about coming to visit him daily. Take comfort in knowing he is in a better place and in the hands of our savior. Blessings to his faithful family and friends!

Thanksgiing 2013

One of the sweetest memories I have from Uncle Dan was from last Thanskgiving.... After dinner, he and Mom were huddled together at the table reminiscing over the war. Mom was from Groesbeek, a small town in eastern Holland near where the 82nd landed as part of Operation Market Garden.

Mom touched his hand and told him "you are my liberator" His response.........
"I would do it all over again Annie."

Love to your family. Grandpa Dan was a hero for his country and a great friend to many. We will surely miss him. Dick and Judy Swanson

Dan and Claudia, Our thoughts and prayers go with you through this time.
