Not sure what to say?

I came across Dr. Galper's dissertation on hypnotizability, dissociation, and absorption while researching dissociation & bulimia for my undergraduate psychology thesis. I want to express my gratitude for his work, and the way his research has impacting mine. His dissertation is incredibly thorough and well done. I am from Chevy Chase, MD and was touched to see Dr. Galper grew up in Bethesda and also attended a private school in DC. Sending my condolences to the Galper family.

I just found out about this sad news. He was a buddy of mine in Dallas. I met his mom. I'd wondered why I hadn't heard from him and thought I'd find him on FB. Sad to hear. Thank you for being a great guy Dan!!

I worked closely with Dan at UTSW Medial Center. Dan was great to work with, warm and friendly, as well as being an excellent researcher. We missed Dan greatly when he took the position with the APA. I just found out about Dan's passing from one of his former research assistants who had recently tried to contact him to thank him for all the help and support he provided. Dan was an outstanding colleague, as well as a great mentor and role model for his students. He will be greatly missed.

Dr. Galper, I've heard your loss today from Dr. Ortman. I try to understand and feel your grief.. so young, sooo early... I remember how soft and giving and compassionate you were on your loved ones. I pray from my heart for you and family to have the strength, courage and acceptance to survive. Love and my deepest sympathy to you Dr. Galper. Serra Edes, MVC '95 alumna

Alice, Harvey, David...

I just found out about your loss through VOICES. Please accept my late condolences. Danny and I were friends at BFCDS. I'm struck by how much he looks at 47 (ish) the same as the Danny I remember and who was my playground friend.

With sadness for your loss, and the loss of those whom he served through his work,

Chris '79

I'm so sad about this loss. Dan was such a solid, nice guy. He was always trying to improve himself and help others. He will be missed.

I have many fond memories of Danny from a long time ago, in the neighborhood. They mean a lot, and he will be missed. All the best to the family at this time.

Alice and Harvey, my thoughts are with you on the lose of your son, Daniel. Although I never met him, I remember with fondness the stories you told of him (and examples in your Child Development classes!) at MVC.

So sad,

Rosemary Bolig

Dear Alice and Harvey,
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry for your loss.
