Butch was an excellent athlete and teammate as well as a friend. He will be greatly missed!

Butch was a great ball player and will always be remembered. Some of us have memorable moments of conversations in the huddle during intense football games.

Butch, the class of 1966 will never forget you nor the classes that followed. That was out championship season - -thanks to you! May the Good Lord Shine His Light on YOU! Nancy Georgian, Class of 1970

Rest in His Peace, Butch. You were one of the GREAT ones! We'll miss you and cherish memories of growing up in Clemson & at DHS with you.

Butch and Dean grew up in the same neighborhood and were great friends. They were also on the same state championship team in high school. Your Aunt Lynne and I were great friends in high school. We all loved your dad. He was one of the sweetest, most humble, good looking guys I knew. He never let his success as an athlete get in the way of being a great friend. God bless you all.

Butch was a giving man, a team player, a teacher, and a wonderful friend. He always gave more than you expected. Butch was a southern gentleman and a gifted athlete that was always humble.
I love you Butch, we will all miss you.
