Not sure what to say?

I had the pleasure of enjoying Dick's company as a student in my classes and later for many years as a valued colleague at the UMass School Public Health where he had a lasting impact on our students. I particularly enjoyed our sharing of fieldwork and living experiences in the Philippines and Bangladesh.

Our true heartfelt sympathy and care! Dan was an amazing person in so many areas of his life! He will be so missed on this earth!

I am saddened to hear of Dr. Gerber's passing. He was my Community Health Education instructor several semesters ago. I remember his great sense of humor, how he made an effort to get to know every student in the class, and how he enjoyed telling us stories of his time in the Peace Corps. He will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Dan's passing. He was a truly wonderful man and a colleague. His kindness and support will never be forgotten.

I considered him my friend, how sad, I would run into him at Planet Fitness for years and most of all, he always had a seat in his My Body, My Health course for one of my students. He made a profound impression on me from the time he was a guest speakers in the early 2000s for the Nursing Lecture series talking to our faculty on how to teach to large enrollments. I will truly miss him.

Best conversations of my life! Lucky me!

Many, many great conversations on Victoria´s back porch in Massachusetts.

Dan holds a very special place in our lives as we enjoy our days on Jekyll Island. We are especially thankful for his long ago recommendation and we remember fondly his visit with his friend and his big bike! The world lost a special, genuine human. We will miss him. Terry and Peg
