Not sure what to say?

Dan and I were good friends 50+ years ago in Vietnam. I believe we got to the country around the same time, Nov '70. We were in the same company in Tuy Hoa, worked in the same office and played quite a bit of chess. He was a good guy, kind and caring. His name came to me recently and I recalled he was from Cleveland. Very sorry Gesing Family to hear he's passed. Sorry we never met up after returning to the country.

So sorry to hear about Dan. Only knew him for a short 7 years, but became a great friend. Will miss his great catches, stories and bird sightings. Always was there for us when we got into boating trouble at Pleasant Hill Lake. Keep on fishing that great lake in the sky, Dan!

God Bless!

I am so sorry we couldn't make it to Danny's wake or funeral.I may have been his first friend...I know he was mine. When I was 3 years old, my Great Uncle Jim decided I needed a friend and took me by the hand and walked me down the street until we came upon Danny. From what I remember...we were instantly friends at that point and on into our childhood.

As time passed, we grew apart and followed life's separate currents to cross paths only once since parting...at an old neighbor's...

To Dan's family, Dan was a very kind man and I will miss his Christmas cart. May God comfort you in this time of loss. Victoria Mennenga SourceOne

Our deepest sympathy to Dan's family. We will miss hearing his tales of the big catch and of the osprey and eagles which he kept track of. It won't be the same to be at the lake and not see Danny's boat trolling slowly through the water. We were blessed to know Dan and call him "friend."

In the holiday mood

We will miss Danny and "Steely Dan" at Pleasant Hill Lake. We enjoyed his love of the outdoors, hearing his fishing stories, and seeing some of his prize catches. Our most cherished memories go back a few years to our houseboat trip at Lake Cumberland with the old gang. We were blessed to have him as a friend.

My deepest sympathy to Dan's family. I am very sorry for your loss. Dan was a great person to work with and always had fun stories to share and I feel very blessed to have known him.

This message goes to you Danny,my old pal.I am looking back at all the losses we all endured over the past years, the loss of your friendship will affect me profoundly as it will everyone else that was blessed by your presence.I hope they have a 750 honda for you up there, you deserve it I know what it meant to you.Wish you were here old friend.
