Not sure what to say?

Dan, Our paths crossed and then, due to my moving around, we lost touch. Earlier this morning I found the script to a play you had dedicated to me. It brought back some great memories. Sorry I waited so long to try and reconnect. Rest in peace.

I think of you often as it was wonderful to take care of you. You were an amazing individual who brought joy to all who you encountered. Rest well and job well done, sir....

He was my best friend when we were stationed on Okinawa. He honored me by using my name in one of his plays. I'll never forget him.

My heart was deeply saddened by Dan's passing. We worked together at One Shell Sq. Dan, you always had me laughing. You had me develop my interest in baseball again by your love of the Chicago Cubs. I wish we would have made that trip to Wrigley to sit close to your favorite player in right field, Sammy Sosa! We had some great times together, talking baseball, fishing, and hanging out. I wish we could have stayed in touch more often. I'll miss you Dan, a true brother.

Our paths crossed at Hotel Dieu Hospital where Dan and I were clerks. He lived to work on his plays and poems, but he seldom missed a opportunity to meet with office friends after work on Fridays for a drink or two or three. He invited all to enjoy performances of his one-act plays.
I thought his writings were tight pieces of work and often wondered when he would have his collection published. Even after losing touch, I would occasionally check B&N for his works under local writers and...

I am sorry to see this; my best to Yvonne and Alfonso.

Dan would carpool with me to Hotel Dieu Hospital, as we lived around the corner from each other. I knew his health wasn’t the greatest before Katrina, as I left my hometown and re-located to Dallas. I remember when he bought, probably, one of the first Apple computers to work on his playwriting.
Dan was a good guy, an American Veteran who was proud to be a Marine. His plays were pretty good too.
My prayers are with his family.

Al and family, So sorry to hear of Dan's passing. I tried to stay in touch with him over the years and it became more difficult when he went into the nursing facility. Anyway, he was always fun to be around. One of the sharpest wits I've ever known. I have many fond memories of him! Will miss him!
