oh, I am so sad to learn that Dan has died....more than a year ago. I have treasured listening to Dan's wisdom and profound humanity for decades via Voices in the Family, his column in the Inquirer, in later years his short interviews on WHYY. What a huge gift he made of his life. Such an example of adversity and pain turned into love, kindness, and generosity.
