Daniel R. Gravelyn

Dan was a prince of a man. He waged a courageous battle with cancer and was brave enough to share his experiences with the rest of us and, in the process, made us all the better for it. His dignity, loyalty, kindness and good nature under duress, his unyielding attitude, and his relentless hopefulness and positive attitude set an example for us. We were so sorry and saddened to hear about your loss. I worked with Dan years ago at Warner, and we were Heritage Hill neighbors, though we lost touch in the busy-ness of life. What a loss of a wonderful, positive and energetic person. We did not know Sara, but he spoke of her, with love and pride. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dan's whole family during this time.

Please accept prayers and positive thoughts from one of Dan's high school classmates, FHC Class of 1977. I had no idea in recent years he worked only blocks from my office on Monroe Avenue. Clearly he had a great impact on our community and I am proud to have known him.

I was an acquaintance of Dan’s and I am very sorry about Dan’s passing. It has been several tears since I have seen Dan but he was a giving person that entertained my wife and me on many occasions and they were all memorable. God Bless Dan and his family.
