Daniel James Grinnan, age 42, of Grafton, WV, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2003 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV following a brief illness. He was born on February 11, 1961 in Grafton a son of Lawrence Edward and Helen P. Johnson Grinnan of Grafton.
He is survived by his former wife Kimberly Shingleton Grinnan of Grafton, WV; three sons Keith Allen Grinnan, Derek Grinnan and Jeffrey Grinnan all of Grafton; one daughter Amanda Faye Grinnan and fiancé Robbie Slaton of Grafton; one grandson Hunter Slaton at home; seven brothers; Larry Grinnan and wife Connie of Grafton; Andy Grinnan and wife Debbie of Grafton; Benjamin Grinnan of Grafton; Philip Grinnan and wife Judy of Grafton; Peter Grinnan and wife Norma of Gambrills, MD; James Grinnan of Grafton, Steven Grinnan and wife Susan of Brookeville, MD; one sister Sally Marie Blair and husband Matthew of Grafton; three uncles Raymond Johnson of Grafton; David Grinnan and wife Frona of Ludlow, KY; Charles Jody Grinnan and wife Bobbi of Bowden, WV; two aunts Mariam Delaney of Clarksburg, WV; Martha Shanabartger of Grafton and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Grinnan was an auto mechanic having worked for Kalo’s of Grafton and Harry Green’s of Clarksburg, and most recently was a tractor trailer driver for US Food Service. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church of Grafton.
Friends will be received at the Bartlett Funeral Home 202 McGraw Avenue Grafton, WV on Tuesday, June 10, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, where a vigil service will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Wednesday, June 11, 2003 at the St. Augustine Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M. with Father Teufel officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
