We were so sorry to hear of Dan's passing. While I didn't know him very well, both of my parents spoke of him in the highest regards. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this diffucult time.

I am terribly saddened at the death of my friend Danny Groth. Dan was a dear friend for 35 years who had my utmost respect. He was a Sgt.of mine as a young policeman in the 18th District. He took me under his protective wing. Dan was a man of courage and integrity and was very instrumental in my life. He never forgot his friends. I shall never forget him. My prayers are with him and his family. Al Scarnavack, former Chicago Police Officer and Assistant States Attorney.
