Thanks for the opportunity to remember Dan and what a good person he was. He accepted all.that he met. He was always ready to help those who needed help. Thanks Dan, I was fortunate to have you as part of my life.

Dan was a great friend for many years. We worked together at the Anchorage Daily News for several years in the 1980s, and he stayed with me in Chugiak, AK, for several months before leaving to work at the Oregonian. Over the years, Dan always provided a warm way station in his Vancouver home to me and my two older sons when I would visit over the years in the late 80s and 90s. Good talks, good meals, a great heart. My only regret is losing touch with him in recent years, but had a lovely...

Dan was the kind of person that one rarely meets in life.
Everybody liked him and nobody ever had a bad thing to say about him, and for good reason. He had a generous heart and loved to help others. He never got upset or impatient, just kept on working despite problems that might pop up. I worked with him for many years at the Oregonian and knew him well. I always had such respect for him and appreciated his kindness towards his fellow man. Dear Dan, RIP

Dan was a model employee, volunteer, friend, father, and husband. He went above and beyond to make family calendars and help with computer knowledge. May Dan’s soul rest ln Peace. Ken
