I am deeply saddened by this news. I grew up with Dan as my neighbor. He was always fun. Dan (and Jim?) made this amazing halloween entrance in their back door one year way back in the early 70's that triggered flashing lights, a soundtrack of ghost sounds laughing and a descending cardboard ghoul that swung down as we opened the door, for us kids.
