My husband Dick Clark is the last of the ND law school quartet living but my husband isn't in good health. He has dementia among other medical issues but does remember your dad, Chris and Dan, and your mother Anne too. We had great laughs with them both and miss the good times we had together. Oh my God, my husband Dick Clark and I, Judy Clark, have been trying to reach Dan for a long while now not knowing he had passed away. Dick and Dan were law school classmates at Notre Dame and lived together with two other friends. We tried calling Dan and emailing him and were getting nowhere at all today, so I decided to Google his name and found out that he had passed away in October. We are truly shaken inside and can hardly believe that he is gone. We are stunned and wondering what...

Dan was good friend. He was a volleyball champion at the Cleveland Athletic Club for many years. He also was the President of the Club in the 1980's and led the Club to allow females to join the Cclub as members. He was also a Serjeant in the lawyers group called the Court of Nisi Prius where Dan was famous for playing a female in its skits at its annual banquets.

I had the exceptional privilege of working for Dan Hammer during his final years at Thompson Hine. Not only was he was a highly respected attorney, it soon became clear that he was a devoted family man and a good Catholic as well. When I suffered an injury after a botched dental procedure, he generously intervened on my behalf. Not surprisingly, the case was quickly resolved in our favor. Working for Dan wasn´t easy. I would arrive at my desk at 8:30 in the morning, only to find several...
