Daniel T. Hediger, of Elkins Park and formerly of Ambler, PA, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Hillcrest Center, Wyncote, PA. He was 58.
He was the loving longtime fiancé of the late Kathleen Lundquist until her passing in 2018.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Carl F. and Kathrine M. (Jordan) Hediger. He was a 1983 graduate of Cheltenham High School, Wyncote, PA.
Daniel was employed as an auto body technician for Orsini’s Auto Service, Ambler, for many years until retiring in 2016.
A lifelong motorcycle and car enthusiast, Daniel loved rebuilding vehicles and riding. He also enjoyed attending car shows over the years. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and practical jokes. He especially loved spending time with family and friends and playing “Santa Claus” at their gatherings.
He is survived by a sister, Kathrine M. Hagen and her husband Klaus, of Sellersville, PA; three brothers, Charles F. Hediger, of Philadelphia, Robert L. Hediger and his wife Kelli, of Coopersburg, PA, and Michael J. Hediger, of Cheltenham, PA; three nieces, Miranda Wagner and her husband James, of Doylestown, PA, Valerie Giannini and her husband Michael, of Sellersville, and Leslie Styer, of Marine City, MI; a nephew, Jared D. Hagen, of Sellersville; a great-niece, Madeline Gebhard; two great-nephews, Holden Giannini and Ezera Garrisi; a stepdaughter, Kimberly Richards and her husband Dennis, of Ambler; and four step grandchildren, Jordan, twins Calli and Leah, and Macklin. In addition to his fiancée and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Martin J. Hediger, in 1991.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
