Not sure what to say?

Dan was a good doctor and friend. RIP

Back in the day, when he was our family's physician, and fellow parishoner at Saint Brigid, we called him "Dr. Dan the Bandage Man". We knew only of his low key professionalism without glimpsing the depth of his faith and passion. I must say many in the community were surprised to hear he gave it up in exchange for a ministry to the needy and less fortunate among us. A true Christisan, he embraced and lived the faith.

I worked with Dr H at the Hope Medical Clinic for over ten years.I became a more faithful christian by his example. I loved his campaign to help smokers to quit using faith and counseling. God bless him and his family.
His legacy of Hope endures and carries on.

I was fortunate to work with Dr. Heffernan at the Family Clinic in the 80's. His obituary is a beautiful record of his life. Didn't know about his individual ministry to local migrant workers in the sugar beet industry to provide for medical needs out of the back of his station wagon! He sure started his medical career out with generosity of spirit and it continued throughout his life. I know his legacy will live on through the lives of his children and grandchildren. Dr. H,
Helped me to find the way to healthy lifestyle.I will miss him.

I worked for your father back in 1975. He was one of the strongest Christian men I've every known. I've never forgotten his kindness. Sherry Wood

Dan/Cecilia and Mary Beth/Kevin know of our prayers for your Father and your families. Love, Tom and Jeanne Stevenson

Dan was an outstanding member of the medical community. He ministered to the entirety of human need, physically and spiritually. His influence was felt beyond our local community. He will be missed by all who knew him. Gene Ragland MD
