Read MoreI am very shocked to find out that Dan has passed away. I talked to him in early December and he sounded so good. Started calling and texting him in early January and I should have known something was wrong when he didn't respond. Been friends for over 20 years and I sure will miss our talks . Rest in Peace Dan....you sure have earned it!

I met Dan at Ellsworth Junior College in Iowa Falls. We kept in touch ever since. I will miss his calls and conversations.

Dan was a favorite patron at the library, always full of cheer and happiness. We adored him and are very sad to hear of his passing. This past year, we've been calling him regularly to check in when he hasn't made it to the building. I hope there is a memorial service the staff can attend.

Dan came to Ladd Library almost everyday when he was able. We all adored him and enjoyed talking with him. He loved to share his Chick-fil-a rewards with us, especially the cookies. He talked about his family, past jobs, and all kinds of interesting things. When he was unable to make it back to Ladd, he would call and check in with the manager. We all hoped he would be back. He will be very missed.
